Energy Solutions For Underwater Unmanned Equipment

Deep-Sea Diving Lithium Batteries

Underwater-specific lithium batteries

Reliable, efficient and safe Li-Ion underwater batteries - specially designed for harsh offshore and underwater environments, such as offshore oil and gas equipment, submersibles and underwater robots.

I. Requirements for Energy Systems of Underwater Detection Equipment in the Ocean

Underwater marine exploration equipment is usually a confined space and lightweight pressure-resistant enclosure. Besides directly facing special environmental challenges such as pressure (increasing by approximately 1 atmosphere for every 10 meters of depth), corrosion (including corrosion by seawater and marine organisms), and communication (highly dependent on sound waves), its energy system not only needs to meet conditions such as reliability, safety, low-temperature resistance, and vibration resistance, but is also subject to strong constraints of volume and weight. This, in turn, limits the effective detection duration of the equipment.

Specifically:

1.For small underwater mobile equipment (such as underwater gliders, Argo buoys, long-range AUVs (unmanned underwater robots), etc., whose energy requirements are mainly energy-based, their energy systems do not require instantaneous high power, but need a relatively high energy density, and can be used stably, safely and continuously for a long time;

2. For underwater fixed equipment that requires long-term operation (such as underwater buoys), a single-use battery is typically used as the power source. The energy system of such equipment needs to have a long service life and high reliability.

3. For underwater equipment that requires high-speed maneuverability, since it needs to meet the power demands of large-power components such as the propeller, its energy requirements are mainly power-based. Its energy system must be able to provide a continuous and large current output.

4. For manned diving equipment, the primary concern regarding energy requirements is safety.

II. 24V Underwater Battery 1.5 kWh Supply Solution

1.5 kWh subsea battery is a pressure-resistant lithium polymer battery that can provide a reliable high energy density power solution for underwater systems. The battery electronic equipment includes built-in protection, monitoring, power control and battery regulation.

With over 20 years of battery development experience and hundreds of devices, the 1.5 kWh underwater battery has demonstrated its practicality in various underwater applications, including:

Autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV)

Remote-controlled underwater vehicle (ROV) Detector

Buoyancy diving system

Underwater robot

Underwater photography equipment

Underwater unmanned aerial vehicle/UUV

Underwater unmanned vessel

Underwater diving equipment

Underwater rescue emergency equipment

With

A fully submersible 1.5kWh underwater battery specifically designed for direct immersion in water in any direction, without the need for a pressure vessel.

High energy density

The lithium polymer chemical substance offers an extremely high energy density while maintaining excellent cycle life and performance, making it an ideal choice for underwater applications.

Plug-and-play

The 1.5 kWh subsea battery design enables users to quickly replace the discharged battery with a charged one without opening the pressure vessel. This facilitates the rapid turnover of diving equipment at the site.

Charging

With the fully automatic charging system, the battery can be fully charged within 6 hours or less.
